Robert Herr is a part-time Lecturer in Spanish, teaching mainly Spanish I and IV. Prior to teaching at MIT, he was a lecturer in Spanish, Writing and Latin American, Latino and Caribbean Studies at Dartmouth College.

He is the author of “‘El machete sirve para cortar la caña’: Obras literarias y revolucionarias en El Machete (1924-1929)” published in the Revista de Crítica Literaria Latinoamericana 66 (2007) and “De bandidos a trabajadores: El proyecto económico liberal en El Zarco de Ignacio Manuel Altamiran.” in Literatura Mexicana (2007).
