The conference, held online, brought together 260 teachers from 70 institutions for a robust dialogue on the state of the field of Chinese as a foreign language instruction, with particular attention to teaching in the pandemic. MIT lecturers Tong Chen, Min-Min Liang, Kang Zhou and Panpan Gao were featured in the article. The article points out that outgoing NECLTA President Tong Chen announced that the organization’s next President will be Professor Yu Wu from Rhode Island University.
