The Global France Seminar and the MIT History Section are happy to invite you to:

“The Parisienne Demystified” – a film by Rohkaya Diallo
Screening followed by a conversation with Rokhaya Diallo, journalist, filmmaker, and activist and Louis Massiah, filmmaker and MIT MLK Scholar and audience Q&A
April 6, 2023
Room 4-163

The world usually imagines the typical Parisian woman as white, slim, and elegant, a bike-riding cigarette smoker dressed in stripes. Yet Paris is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world. Rokhaya Diallo dismantles the cliché by introducing us to today’s Parisian women in all their diversity.

This event is free and open to the public.
