On October 15, the MIT Korean language classes celebrated Hangeul Day.
The Korean program holds a Hangeul Day event every year. This year, students enjoyed quizzes about Korea and Hangeul, and tried various Korean snacks.
Also, due to the popularity of the Netflix drama Squid Game, various games that Korean people like to play were introduced and several were played in the classroom. This was followed by a speech contest in which students talked about their experiences with Korean language or culture. The students themselves selected the recipients for best speech awards and audience awards. These awardees will advance to the contest sponsored by NEACKE and KCCLA.
In addition, students spent time outside designing T-shirts for the Korean program and enjoying the beautiful, warm weather.
