This IAP, MIT students will have the opportunity to study eight languages in a wide array of residential classes offered through Global Languages.

Our perennially popular Chinese Calligraphy class will also offer students the chance to learn the ancient art of Chinese brush writing with expert guidance from instructor Kang Zhou. This HASS-A subject is open to all students regardless of language background or study.

Further afield, 21G offers a number of immersive international experiences, including the long-running IAP-Madrid Spanish classes (two subjects offered this year) and January Scholars in France, a faculty-led language- and cultural-immersion program that brings select students of French to Paris each year.

New this academic year, we are launching an IAP-Shenzhen program for students of Chinese, who will combine language study with cultural activities and the opportunity to interact with students and faculty at China’s prestigious Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).
