JAPAN@MIT was a huge success! The event, held September 18 in the Bush Room, drew about 100 attendees.

The event was held to help students learn more about what’s happening at MIT that’s related to Japan including opportunities to go to Japan for an internship, research or study abroad; studying the Japanese language at MIT; and taking classes on the history and culture of Japan.

We were happy to host a special guest, Deputy Consul General, Mr. Suguru Minoya from the Japanese Consulate and Boston(below addressing students).

There was also an Aikido demonstration was by the MIT Aikido Club. Below is the club’s chief instructor, Matt Bagedonow, with MIT alum Matthew Tom.
