Nineteen high school students, juniors and seniors from Melrose and Beverly High Schools, visited MIT on March 29 to meet MIT students, get a taste of German at the university level, and to exchange ideas on how to incorporate German with a STEM curriculum and a future career. They also had a conversation with Bettina Stoetzer about her fieldwork in Germany, including topics such as the Autobahn, as well as forests and rivers and wild boars living in the center of Berlin. This outreach event was organized by Dagmar Jaeger and is the third consecutive year such an exchange has taken place.
