MITx: Chinese Language in Culture

In August 2020, Dr Haohsiang Liao launched MITx: Chinese Language in Culture, Level 1, a novice-level MOOC course offered by Massachusetts Institute of Technology on edX. This is the first Chinese language MOOC offered by a north American university on edX as well as the first foreign language MOOC on MITx open to the broader public. This course is open and free for all users across the globe. It has attracted thousands of learners from over 130 countries in the span of just a few months.
