Yang Yang received her B.A. degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Xi’an International Studies University in China and her M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Adelphi University in New York. Currently, she is pursuing her second M.A. in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language at Middlebury College. She also taught a Chinese class at Middlebury Language Schools in summer. Prior to coming to MIT, she created a Chinese culture and language class at Quincy Asian Resources, Inc. She was also a Chinese language online tutor at the Center for Talented Youth, Johns Hopkins University.

Yang’s pedagogical interests include: Second language acquisition, Chinese language pedagogy, and Chinese cultural communication.
