On Monday, September 15, Nobel laureate Dr. Frances H. Arnold (2018 Chemistry Prize) joined MIT’s French class 21G.312 – Sciences et Mystères Francophones via Zoom. Dr. Arnold, Linus Pauling Professor at Caltech and pioneer of directed evolution, offered students inspiring insights into her career, innovation, and sustainability, while also reflecting on the challenges and mentorship that shape women’s paths in STEM. Students prepared questions and were thrilled to interact directly with a world-renowned scientist in such an engaging and enlightening conversation.
