This fall Solta a Língua hosted members of the Boston area’s Portuguese-speaking community to discuss their projects with MIT students.
This event was part of the Solta a Língua monthly Portuguese conversation table events held monthly. This series is organized by Nilma Dominique and supported by Global Languages MIT-Brazil, and MIT-Portugal
Nilma Dominique explained that these events are a chance for students to practice their Portuguese language skills in an informal setting. Learning the language while engaging with people and topics of the Lusophone community adds to what we can accomplish in the classroom. “We are also excited for the opportunity to learn more about Boston’s Portuguese-speaking community,” she explained.
