Jonathan Perkins – “OER Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”
This presentation will provide a brief introduction to the Open Educational Resources (OER) movement, highlighting its historical evolution, the current state of language OER production and adoption, and the myriad of financial, legal, and social justice issues that are likely to shape the movement’s future.
Jonathan Perkins is the Director of the Open Language Resource Center at the University of Kansas and has been working in the field of language OER for well over a decade. Among the OLRC’s many projects are the intermediate Spanish curriculum Acceso and the beginning Russian curriculum Mezhdu nami.
