Global Languages 2022 Speech Contest

My Favorite Thing About MIT

Global Languages invites all students who have taken a 21G subject to submit a 30-60 second video on your favorite thing about MIT, delivered in a/the language you’ve studied with Global Languages. Whether it be the emergence of spring on the Charles, the Green Building Pumpkin Drop, walking down the Infinite, or your friends and instructors, express yourself in your learned language!

Submissions will be judged by Global Languages instructors—on level-appropriate language accuracy, clarity, and creativity—with up to nine winners (one from each language) who will receive a $150 prize. To celebrate Commencement Day returning to campus this year, the nine language winners will be posted for open voting to select a grand prize winner who will receive an additional $300 grand prize!

Complete submissions will consist of (1) a video file (or link); (2) the script of your remarks; and (3) and English translation of your remarks. Upload your files HERE; each filename should begin with your last name and first name (ex. Lastname Fitstname_video).
