On September 16, Global Languages Chinese instructors organized an event to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival.
Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festival celebrated in the Chinese culture, and is the second most important holiday after Chinese New Year. It is a time for family reunion. Chinese people celebrate it by gathering for dinners, worshiping the moon, lighting paper lanterns and eating mooncakes.
More than 40 students attended the event. Participants learned about Chinese culture, and participated activities such as calligraphy and paper cutting. Mooncakes and dumplings were enjoyed as well.
