Miyagawa Japanese Prize
Honoring Student Excellence
Initiated in 2019, the Miyagawa Japanese Prize recognizes students who have excelled in their study of Japanese, and encourages MIT students to study Japanese language. The award is named in honor of Professor Shigeru Miyagawa. The award is open to MIT undergraduates with a declared HASS Concentration or Minor in Japanese.
Applications for the 2026 Miyagawa Japanese Prize will open to students who have declared concentrations or minors in Japanese on Monday, March 2, 2026.
