Hello, my name is Heba! I am Sudani, and I grew up in Minnesota with a large, vibrant Sudani-American community. I became interested in Arabic at MIT because I speak Arabic at home with my family but wanted to pursue a formal education in the language to deepen my understanding. I love exploring the richness of the Arabic language, especially how it connects to my culture and heritage. Professionally, I plan to pursue a career in electrical engineering, and I believe that having a strong grasp of languages and cultural awareness will help me work effectively in diverse teams. I had the opportunity to participate in MISTI Arab World, where I taught kids robotics in Bahrain, a rewarding experience that combined my passions for engineering and cultural exchange. In my free time, I enjoy listening to Sudani music, which I highly recommend!
