Riley Davis (Class of 2019, Course 21G and 2) graduated with dual majors in German and Mechanical Engineering, and has been elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Riley was also honored with the First Prize in MIT’s German Studies Excellence Award, for her paper on How Refugees Repurpose the Technology of the Migration Apparatus. She will be pursuing an M.Sc. in Management and Engineering in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. Congratulations Riley!
As Riley told us: “Studying German at MIT has opened doors of international collaboration and allowed me to hone my skills as a global citizen. I’ve been able to work in research, as a teacher, and experience student life in German-speaking countries successfully because of the language skills and culture learned in my German studies courses here at MIT. As I continue my education in Germany next year, I am excited to one day be able to work internationally using both my German language and engineering backgrounds.”
